Seaford Wins On The Road Over Laurel

The Laurel Bulldogs hosted the Seaford Blue Jays looking to get another win after taking down rival Delmar just last week.Unfortunately, Laurel did not get off to a good start after the Bulldogs decision to sit three starters from their starting lineup. Laurel went down 20 points and could not make their way back into the game. The first half was all Seaford, but the second half was a story of Laurel trying to come back from a 20 point deficit.Laurel was scratching at the surface to come back and take over the game, but Seaford stood strong when it meant the most. Laurel made its way back into the game and got within just two points, but could not come up with the win.Seaford's RJ Smith put up 23 points, followed by Kadeem Hughes putting up 16 points, and Andrez Jones added another 13 points leading Seaford to have three players in double digits to help lead their team to a victory. Seaford has been a team that is undermined by a lot of their surrounding teams; however, if tonight was a message, Seaford is ready to come out and continue to play hard for the rest of the season and carry onto next season as well.Although Laurel began to make a comeback, it was Seaford who walked away with the road win 65 to 53, the final.
