Lions score in bunches, defeat North Caroline

The Queen Anne’s Lions baseball team got at least two runs in the first, third and fourth innings on their way to their 11-1 win over North Caroline, in six innings in Ridgely.

QA held a 2-0 lead after the top of the first, but North Caroline’s Dan Edris would respond with an RBI single, The one run deficit would be as close as Bulldogs get. Alex Usilton’s single in the third would plate two Lions, pushing QA’s lead to 4-1.

Jimmy Rich, Dylan Thomas, and Zach Bednor would all score in the fourth for Queen Anne’s, pushing their lead to 7-1. The Lions would add one run in the fifth, and three in the sixth to take the win via 10-run-rule.
