Locals Shine In Brooks Robinson All-Star Game

Three local baseball standouts got the opportunity of a lifetime Sunday afternoon when they took part in the 2016 Brooks Robinson All-Star game. Parkside's Matt Smith, Cambridge SD Michael Richardson and Colonel Richardson's Jaret Bennett all got to showcase their skills against some of the top talent from across the state.

Davis' Walk-off Keeps Wicomico Perfect

The Wicomico legion baseball team stayed perfect on the year after their 10-0 win over Dorchester on Monday afternoon. The home team would be sitting on a 9-0 lead in the 5th before Wi-Hi grad Ben Davis would turn on a pitch to left field for the game winning RBI single.

Kent-Queen Anne's Sweep Twin Bill At Somerset

Kent-Queen Anne's traveled down to Princess Anne on Saturday morning, pulled off a double header sweep of Somerset 2-0 in game 1, then 9-3 in game 2. Kent-Queen Anne's got a gem out of Alex Allsilton in game 2, then used a 7 run 6th inning in the night cap to pull off the wins.

Delaware South Battles But Falls Short To Philly Catholic

The Delaware South team bowed out of the Carpenter Cup Friday morning when they battled but fell short to Philadelphia Catholic 5-2. Delaware South committed four costly error and left the bases loaded with no out in the 7th and that would ultimately cost them the game.

Strutters Silence Thunder

The Strutters continued their perfect start to the Eastern Shore Baseball League season Thursday night with a dominate 21-0 win over the Thunder. The Strutters built a big early lead, and road the strong pitching of Jaret Bennett to the win.

Mountcastle's Walk-off Gives 'Birds 5th Straight Win

The Shorebirds won their 5th straight ball game Wednesday night and completed a three game sweep of the Intimidators after Ryan Mountcastle would hit a walk-off RBI single to right in the 11th for a 4-3 win. The win improves the Shorebirds to 38-26 on the year and just 2 games back of first place with 5 games to go.

Shorebirds Stretch Win Streak To Four

The Delmarva Shorebirds won their 4th straight ball game Tuesday night when they defeated Kannapolis 5-4. The win improves the Shorebirds to 37-26.
