Sheep causes commotion at FiberFest In Snow Hill
SNOW HILL, Md. – The annual Fiberfest kicked off its tradition of celebrating traditional arts and fabric work in Snow Hill on Saturday.
The event was hosted by the Julia Purnell Museum and featured live music, arts, and vendors selling fabrics.
Attendees also got the chance to learn how to sew and stitch using traditions from the area. One of those traditional fabrics comes from sheep, which ended up causing quite a scene on Saturday. There was a sheep that escaped out of its enclosure, leading festival-goers on a cross town chase to get him back in his cage.
Event Organizer and Museum Executive Director Dr. Cynthia Byrd tells us that the cross-town chase plus the activities made for a great afternoon of fun and a great story for the festival to be able to re-tell next year.
