Del. officials reporting 150 new COVID-19 cases, 11 new deaths
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are 11 new deaths in the state as a result of the coronavirus.
We’re told six individuals were New Castle County residents, two were Kent County residents, and three were from Sussex County. The individuals ranged in age from 57 to 96, and three had underlying health conditions. Nine of the individuals were residents of long-term care facilities.
The state also has 150 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 7,373. 3,565 of these cases are in Sussex County, 1,146 in Kent, and 2,619 in New Castle. 269 individuals are currently hospitalized, 54 of whom are critically ill.
A total of 3,210 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
Officials have also released an update on the number of deaths among residents at long-term care facilities. There have been a total of 542 positive cases involving long-term care residents, and 177 residents of long-term care facilities have died from complications of the virus.
