Coming into day seven, the first place tuna was sitting at 95 pounds, caught by Mama-C. That was until Sea Hab pulled up to Harbour Island with a bluefin caught by Jonathan Cianciulli, clocking in at a whopping 188 pounds and good for first place, worth over $750,000.
It wasn’t long before Shorebilly docked with a monster tuna of its own, this one slightly longer, but a pound-and-a-half lighter than the first place fish. That 186.5-pound bluefin was reeled in by Alex Eason.
There was still one fish the tournament hadn’t seen, until Shooting Star came in with a 49.5 pound Wahoo caught by Chris Jones, worth over $74,000.
After the final day the richest catch remained Billfisher’s 72-pound white marlin caught by Dan Gough, worth over $3.9 million.
