HARRINGTON, Del. – Multiple fire companies responded to a fully engulfed barn fire on Thursday night.
Just after 11:00 p.m. on Aug. 27, the Harrington, Greenwood, and Farmington Volunteer Fire Companies responded to a large barn in the unit block of Flat Iron Road. Crews arrived and found the barn to be heavily engulfed in flames, with fire showing throughout.
Units arrived and deployed multiple hose lines to begin attacking the fire. Tower 50’s master stream, which releases hundreds of gallons of water per minute, was also utilized to assist with suppression efforts, as well as a tanker task force to assist with water supply.
