Milford Wins Big Over Indian River

The Indian River Indians hosted the Milford Buccaneers on Thursday night in what everybody thought would be a very close game, however that was not the case in tonight's game.Indian river is coming off of two games that have gone into overtime and it was apparent that both of those games have taken a toll on this team. Last Friday night, Indian River and Delmar went head-to-head and what a game that was – however, Delmar came out on top after a triple overtime game. Following that game on Tuesday night, Indian River was, again, finding themselves playing in an overtime game and took down Sussex Central. Indian River is a talented team and, although the faced a good Milford basketball team, it was not the same team I had watched all season.Milford would take an early lead in the game and they would never give it back to Indian River. At the end of the first half Indian river was down 24 -11 and with minutes to go in the game the Bucs extended their lead to a 21 point lead.Milford recently had a good week last Friday shutting down Woodbridge on the road, however, they would fall to Smyrna on Tuesday. Tonight, the Bucs got back to it and closed down a talented Indian River team.
