Parkside Hangs On To Complete Sweep Of Bennett

The Bennett Clippers, without one of, if not the best player in the conference, were within two points with a couple minutes left against cross-town rival Parkside, still it was the Rams that would come out on top 80-71.

In the absence of senior leader and leading scorer Jorden Duffy, (ineligible) Bennett was led by LJ Carter’s 18 points, and got significant contributions from Barry Gaines (16 points), Michael Jean-Charles (14 points) and Tykee Young (12 points). Still the efforts were not enough to defeat Parkside, who is now 10-2 in the Bayside. The Rams had a team effort themselves, with all five starters in double figures.

With six games remaining, the Rams will have to win out, including a game at 13-1 Wi-Hi, to get the 2A number one seed.
