Eagles Soar Past Bucs In Henlopen Matchup

The Smyrna High School boy’s basketball team rebounded off a double-overtime loss last night to Dover with a 63-51 victory at host Milford Tuesday night. With the victory, the Eagles improve to 11-4, while the Bucs fall to 9-7.

Smyrna had little rest after a big game last night against Dover, but came out ready against Milford, taking the quick lead and never surrendering it throughout the game. In the last stretch of the contest, the Bucs would get as close as 10 points of the Eagles, but keeping their composure through the final minutes, the Eagles claimed the big road victory.

Smyrna’s Latrelle Lee led all scorers with 16 points, while Javier Worthy and Jerry Williams chipped in for 12 apiece. The Bucs were paced by Devin Kravitz’s 14.

The Eagles head home for a big game against Polytech on Thursday at 7:15 p.m., while Milford travels to Indian River for a 6:15 p.m., start on Thursday.
