The host of Good Morning Delmarva has worked nearly every job in radio or television, including on-air host, newscaster, sales manager, and program director. John Trout began his career at his high school radio/tv station. By age 21 he was hosting a Top-40 morning radio show in Evansville, Indiana on WSTO-FM. His broadcasting stops include Indianapolis, Virginia Beach, Pittsburgh and Washington D.C.

Trout is a decades-long resident of Delmarva where, in his home studio, he writes and creates a daily radio show for Westwood One. His show boasts a weekly audience of one million listeners. Heard on over 500 U.S. radio stations and The American Forces Radio Network, the show is called America In The Morning — a bi-partisan radio news magazine and one of the nation’s longest running broadcast programs having been on the air nearly 50 years. He is only the program’s second host.

Trout is a SAG/AFTRA member, a position reserved for the top on percent of film and broadcast professionals. He can be seen in among other things, the Netflix series House of Cards. Additional credits include decades of being heard on voiceovers and commercials for radio and tv stations.

Trout is a private pilot and meteorologist. He resides with his wife, Michele, an international jewelry designer, in Delmar, Md.
