Snow Hill Police get a new police station with a ribbon cutting Friday

SNOW HILL, Md. – The Town of Snow Hill has announced a ribbon cutting for its new police department. This moves after moving from the old firehouse building.

Snow Hill Police Chief Andrew McGee says the old building’s electrical system did not support modern-day technology.

This includes body cameras, computers, and surveillance systems. Mayor Janet Simpson and other local officials plan to attend the ribbon cutting.

The event is set for Friday, September 26, at 4:00 p.m. Found at 424 West Market Street.

Chief McGee said now is the best time to make the move – and keep officers in good spirits.

“The officers tend to work better for the citizens. Each officer has his own workspace, and we were in cramped quarters, so that will certainly help morale. We have a good support system here in the community of Snow Hill. They really support our police department.”
