Moore Administration announces deal reached with unions for next 3 years

Maryland Flag Png 4387026 Ver1 0MARYLAND –  The Moore Administration is announcing they have struck a deal with four major civilian employee labor unions in Maryland.

The tentative deal which would span the next year includes the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, the Maryland Professional Employees Council, American Federation of Teachers, and the Maryland School for the Deaf

The deals must now be ratified by the members of those 4 unions before going into effect.

In a statement to 47ABC AFSCME Council 3 President, Patrick Moran said ” “The tone of this year’s negotiations was markedly different, and we appreciate Secretary of Budget & Management Helene Grady for working with us at the bargaining table to address a number of key issues affecting our state workforce and state services. We will continue to work with this administration, our elected officials and our allies to find solutions, including raising additional state revenues, to tackle this staffing crisis and ensure our public services can continue to function.”
