ELLENDALE, Del. — Jaimey Showell was sentenced for the distribution of cocaine.
On April 6, 2022, Showell, age 52 plead guilty to 2 counts of distribution of cocaine in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County. The Honorable Judge S. James Sarbanes sentenced Showell to 15 years of incarceration in the Division of Corrections.

On May 19, 2021, officers arranged to purchase 3 ounces of cocaine from Showell, and when he was observed entering Maryland from Delaware, his vehicle was stopped and searched. Officers found 81 grams of cocaine. As a result of the plea, Showell forfeited items seized in the investigation to law enforcement, including an amount of U.S. Currency, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Truck, and a 2012 Jaguar vehicle.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Dykes said, “Those that enter our community to do harm and deal drugs should beware. Let the resolute investigation and prosecution of this case, as well as the just sentence imposed by the Court, serve as a clarion call to all that seek to distribute deadly substances that they will be caught and held accountable.”
