Overturned Truck Closes Portion of Rt. 12 South of Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office is alerting motorists to a road closure after a motor vehicle crash resulted in an overturned semi-truck.

Around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the department said Snow Hill Road (Route 12) was closed in both directions, between Nassawango Church Road and St. Lukes Road, due to a motor vehicle crash. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route.

At 11:20 a.m., the Salisbury Fire Department said they were in the process of assisting the Snow Hill and Fruitland Volunteer Fire Companies with the crash, sharing photos of the scene.

Details about the crash are limited at this time, but Maryland State Police are reportedly investigating the accident.
