Dover Habitat for Humanity Construction Site Burglarized
DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a Habitat for Humanity construction site on Willis Road over the weekend.
On Tuesday morning, officers responded to the 100 Block of Willis Road for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, officers learned that the duplex under construction had last been secured on Aug. 28 at approximately 12:00 p.m. However, when the work crew returned to the property on Sept. 1, they discovered that the key boxes had been removed and damaged.
Additionally, the rear doors to both units had been left unsecured, and a new washer and dryer set was reported stolen from each unit.
