The Caesar Rodney girls soccer team came to play Friday night when they took on Padua in the DIAA DI State Championship match, but came up short 4-1. Caitlin Harris netted the Riders only goal in the second half to pull her team with one, but CR was never able to get completely over the hump.
The Sussex Tech softball team is back in the state championship game after defeating Lake Forest 4-1. The Spartans worked out of an early bases loaded no out jam to cease control of the momentum of the game, and rolled to the win.

The Chincoteague baseball team had their historic season come to a heartbreaking end Wednesday afternoon when they fell to Rappahannock 6-3 in 11 innings. The Ponies have protested the game on the possible use of an ineligible pitcher by the Raiders, but for the time, a furious comeback of the home team came painfully short in the the 11th.
The Cape Henlopen girls lacrosse team continues to add to what will go down as one of, if not the greatest dynasty in state history as the Vikings clinched their incredible 8th straight DIAA Championship with a 16-4 win over Tower Hill. The Vikings were in a tight game at 403 early, but ended the game on a 12-1 run to clinch the win.
