The Cape Henlopen girls lacrosse team continues to add to what will go down as one of, if not the greatest dynasty in state history as the Vikings clinched their incredible 8th straight DIAA Championship with a 16-4 win over Tower Hill. The Vikings were in a tight game at 403 early, but ended the game on a 12-1 run to clinch the win.

Sussex Tech No Match For Sallies

The Sussex Tech boys lacrosse team saw their season come to an abrupt end on Saturday when they were blown out by Salesianum 17-1. The Ravens struggled to gain ball control, and were forced to play defense most the game.

Delmar Ousted By Auks

The Delmar boys lacrosse team saw their season come to an end on Saturday when they traveled to play Archmere in the DIAA State Tournament quarterfinals, and fell 19-3. The Wildcats fell behind early on, and were never able to get completely back in the game.

Red Lion Takes HR Derby Over Cape

The Cape Henlopen softball team saw their great season come to an end in the first round of the DIAA State Tournament on Saturday afternoon, when they fell to Red Lion 14-5. The Lions took a high scoring game which saw a total of 6 home runs between the two teams.

Riders Shock Panthers & KO Defending Champs

The Caesar Rodney softball team pulled off the biggest upset of the 2016 DIAA State Tournament thus far, when they traveled to Polytech Saturday morning, and knocked off the defending state champs, 4-3. The Riders overcame a early 2 run deficit to advance to the second round of the state tournament.

The Sussex Tech baseball team saw their season come to an end on Thursday when they fell to Middletown 8-2 in the DIAA State Quarterfinals. The Ravens never got their bats going until it was to late, and weren't able to pull off their 2nd straight upset of the tournament.

Hillers Shock Polytech In Semifinals

The Polytech girls lacrosse team was set to square off against Cape Henlopen in a rematch of the state championship game. The Panthers had a lead late in the second half against Tower Hill, and were in position to go get their revenge.Then it all changed.

Cummings Makes History As CR Advances In States

The Caesar Rodney girls lacrosse team advanced to DIAA State Semifinals on Thursday with their commanding 8-0 win over Dover. The Riders got three goals from senior star Aleya Cummings, which puts her at 51 on the year, breaking Delawares all-time single season record.

Vikings Fall To St. Mark's In Quarterfinals

The Cape Henlopen run back to the DIAA State Championship game came up a little short this year, as the Vikings fell to top seeded St. Mark's 12-6 in the State Quarterfinals. The Vikings fell behind early, and while their bats would get hot, couldn't slow down the Spartans lineup to get back in the game.
