Delmar started this season with the goal of capturing the programs first DIAA Field Hockey State Title. Friday night, they'll get their shot against Tower Hill. The Wildcats dominate from the opening hit in their semifinal showdown with Polytech Tuesday night, earning a 2-0 win. Delmar scored early, then flexed their defensive muscle, holding the Panthers to without a corner or a shot in the match.
The landscape of athletics will be changing in the Bayside for at least one team in the fall of 2017. Parkside's enrollment was measured at 997, putting them at the upper half of the state, resulting in them moving from the 2A division to the 3A.

Freshman Tyler Jones (Atlantic City, New Jersey) poured in a career-high 28 points and grabbed four rebounds, while senior Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) scored 13 and grabbed 13 boards, but the University of Maryland Baltimore Country escaped the William P. Hytche Center with a 77-73 win.
