MD non-profit opens Coffee Gallery, trying to bring the community together

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- Two business owners are trying to bring the community together through their non-profit CROPA.

CROPA stands for Concerned residents of Princess Anne.

The non-profit started last summer to bring political action and engagement to the community, as well as economic development.

Since starting CROPA, they’ve build community gardens, worked with the police department, and recently just opened CROPA Coffee Gallery.

By opening the gallery, they hope to increase foot traffic and inspire others to work together.

“Our goal is to bring our community together, that’s the biggest part of it, so that we can get to know who each other is in our community, what we do, how we can work together,” Dale Parker, the owner of CROPA Coffee Gallery, said.

“I hope it brings together unity, and just for the community to grow, other businesses come in as well the community will be more active,” Troy Selby, the owner of CROPA Coffee Gallery, said.

We are told soon they will have their first annual spring community event.

They also would like to develop youth programs where they can provide them with things like mentors and field trips.
