CDC provides Del. guidance on ebola prep

The likelihood of new Ebola cases in the U.S. continues to drop, but health agencies in Delaware say they have taken guidance from the CDC in order to identify, diagnose, and treat patients suspected of having Ebola, or other infectious diseases.
Earlier this month, the CDC reportedly provided training to staff members from the Division of Public Health.
They say it’s a way to “train the trainer” so that the state agency can provide service to any other health facility that may need assistance.
During the visit, the CDC reviewed an Ebola and Emerging Disease Response Plan. Some of that included, screening for potential Ebola patients, transportation of patients to and from facilities, and safe placement of the patient while in the hospital.
According to health officials, the recent Ebola epidemic is the largest in history resulting in an estimated 11,300 deaths with 28,600 cases to date.
