DSP arrest woman for allegedly threatening and swinging a knife at an individual Sunday morning in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Del.- Delaware State Police arrested a woman Sunday morning in Lincoln after they said she allegedly threatened someone and swung a knife at them.

Police said 43-year-old, Michelle L. Henderson, had engaged in a verbal argument with an individual at Cedar Village Mobile Home Park, shortly after midnight, because of the time the individual arrived back at the home.

Police said Henderson allegedly swung a kitchen knife at the individual as the person was trying to enter through the front door.

Police said no contact with the knife was made and the individual was not injured.

We are told when police arrived Henderson was intoxicated and was uncooperative throughout the whole time Troopers were trying to assess the situation.

Officers said Henderson threw her cell phone in the direction of one of the Troopers who was speaking with the other individual.

Police said Henderson also attempted to leave the home and get into a pickup truck.

Police said Henderson was handcuffed after a struggle and escorted her to a police car.

We are told Henderson then refused to get into the police car, but once they got her in she allegedly bit one of the Trooper’s arms who was trying to put a seat belt on her.

Police said on the way to the police station Henderson remained disorderly and attempted to kick out the rear windows of the patrol car.

Henderson is now facing charges of aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon, assault of an officer, resisting arrest, failure to comply with taking pictures and fingerprints, and criminal mischief.

Henderson was later arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $79,100 cash only bond.
