FBI Seeks Information on Two Missing Women in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking information into the unsolved disappearances of two Salisbury women.

Authorities are looking for 26-year-old Shaquanna “Kita” Rutherford, who was last seen on May 19, 2025, in the area of Parsons Road and Fitzwater Drive in Salisbury. Rutherford was known to frequent the areas near the bridge by the La Quinta Inn, and by the Anchorage Health Center. Authorities say she is considered to be critically missing due to health concerns, as well as a suspicion of foul play surrounding her disappearance.

Rutherford is described as a Black woman with black hair and brown eyes, standing between 5’2″ and 5’4″, and weighing between 280 and 330 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with blue lettering, dark/light green camouflage leggings, and dark slip-on shoes.

Authorities are also looking for 61-year-old Mildred “Milly” Nickles, who was last seen on Jul. 27, 2023, in the area of the Paul S. Sarbanes branch of the Wicomico Public Library, not far from where Rutherford was last seen.

At the time of her disappearance, Nickles was homeless and known to travel between the Salisbury and Baltimore areas. She is also considered to be critically missing as there is a suspicion of foul play surrounding her disappearance.

Nickles is described as a white woman with red or auburn hair that could have been blonde at the time of her disappearance. She also has green eyes, stands between 5’3″ and 5’4″, and weighs between 150 to 170 pounds. Nickles has a distinctive linear scar on her stomach, as well as tattoos of a faded Barbie logo with a heart above the “i” on her back, and two cherries on her chest. She also has a chipped or missing front tooth.
