Non-Profit Raises Awareness Towards Teen Driving Safety
Delmarva. – A non-profit is raising awareness about the dangers that teenagers face while driving in the summertime.
The National Road Safety Foundation is launching a “one hundred safest days of summer” campaign to highlight teen driving safety.
This time of the year is known for a significant increase in teen car accidents — and driving safety experts note the Eastern Shore as a potential site for concern with more distractions during the busy summer season.
John Wright of Drive on Time Driving School, says the best way to prevent an accident is for parents to spend time with their teens and practice disciplined driving.
“But they have behaviors that are habitual, and so they have to overcome those habits, they, you know, practice driving with responsible adults.” says Wright.
