SALISBURY, Md. – Join us at the Salisbury Zoo for Artifact Adventures on Apr. 11, a program designed to connect you with the wonders of the animal kingdom!

Held every other Saturday, each session explores a different animal theme where attendees have the chance to engage with a variety of biofacts—from skulls and feathers to fur and bones. Through hands-on activities, interactive learning, and expert guidance, participants will discover fascinating facts about the animals that inhabit our world. Whether you’re holding a feather, examining a claw, or learning how an animal uses its senses, each adventure promises to offer a deeper understanding of the wild!

Come explore the natural world of Birds of Prey—each session brings something new and exciting for all ages! This program will be outside and is weather dependent.

On Sunday, Apr. 12, join Poplar Hill Mansion for a rousing lecture series, held on the Second Sunday of every month at 2:00 p.m. The Mansion’s curator, in partnership with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as a Corresponding Docent with the DAR Museum, is presenting lectures on early American history. Each lecture features a different theme and showcases the history of the United States as told through the decorative arts collection of the DAR Museum in Washington, D.C. and the collection at Poplar Hill.

This month’s lecture is titled Myth or Truth, and will examine favorite stories that are often heard in museums and various historic places. Examine the evidence, and come to your own conclusions. Curators will tell you what they think about most of the stories. For the rest, they’ll ask what you think!

Lastly, not this Friday, but NEXT Friday, Third Friday returns to Downtown Salisbury!
