UPDATE: Three Men Connected to “Takeover” Event Turn Selves In; One Remains Wanted

UPDATE: The Rehoboth Beach Police Department says three men connected to a “Takeover” event on the beach and boardwalk have turned themselves into authorities.

On Thursday morning, police said Keyon Scott, Xander Nicholl, and Angelin Clauvil turned themselves in at RBPD. All three were charged with intent to commit or facilitate a riot and second degree conspiracy. They were arraigned, released on their own recognizance, and issued a no contact order with the City of Rehoboth Beach.

However, police say 21-year-old Eric Barnett of Saint Albans, New York, remains wanted.

 

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Rehoboth Beach Police Department responding to a “Takeover” event on the beach and boardwalk and is now searching for the event’s promoters.

It happened during the evening hours Tuesday.

As the event grew, officers with the Rehoboth Beach Police Department were assisted by numerous other agencies.

Several businesses also closed early and some arrests were made in relation to the incident.

In addition, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department obtained warrants for the promoters.

They are currently searching for 19-year-old Xander Nicholl of Philadelphia, 21-year-old Angelin Clauvil of Milford, 22-year-old Keyon Scott of Dover and 21-year-old Eric Barnett of Saint Albans New York; all of whom are students at the Delaware State University.

The event was reportedly the fifth of its type since April of this year.

At this time, there is no known danger to the public.
