Charlie Paparella Explores the Beauty of Frost

DELMARVA – In this week’s edition of Back on the Road with Charlie Paparella, brought to you by Furniture & More Gone Coastal, Charlie has a story about snow’s mild-mannered cousin, frost.

Morning is the best time to study frost, formations seem to mysteriously grow through the night.
They form especially large on wide, flat surfaces, like the top of a car.
The complexity and variety of the formations are astonishing.
Frost, like snowflakes and countless other natural formations, are FRACTAL formations.
And fractals are the most fascinating and incomprehensible phenomena on earth.
When water vapors touch a surface that is below freezing, it freezes without melting.
That’s how it happens, but you have to wonder… why is it so beautiful?
I guess you could ask the same thing about a sunset or a butterfly’s wing.
Nature’s gifts are free for everyone who ‘s able to see and to love the world we live in.”
