SALISBURY, Md. – The Rotary Club of Salisbury recently spent their Saturday constructing a wheelchair ramp for a local marine veteran.

On October 27th, approximately 16 members of the Rotary Club along with the Chesapeake Housing Mission built a wheelchair ramp for Marine Veteran Terry Williams, of Eden. Williams oversaw the project and assisted with the build.

Throughout the years, the Rotary Club of Salisbury has worked with the Chesapeake Housing Mission to provide necessary home repairs to low-income families in the Chesapeake region of Maryland.

Each year, the Rotary Club of Salisbury channels almost $90,000 back into the community through support of various agencies and causes, including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Christian Shelter, Meals on Wheels, Parsons Home, and much more.

We’re told the club will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020.
