UPDATE: Identity released of woman rescued off of Rehoboth Beach

The Rehoboth Beach Police Department says a woman who was rescued in the water in Wednesday is 50-year-old Stacia Matson of Millsboro.
According to Delaware Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police, officers responded to a report of a woman in distress in the Atlantic Ocean, a mile off of Rehoboth around 8AM. Authorities say officers reported seeing her move at various times, but attempts to call out to her were unsuccessful. A rescue swimmer retrieved the woman and she was taken to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for hypothermia because her body temperature was in the 80s.
Police say it is also unclear who reported the woman’s condition to police.
