Emergency crews respond to boat fire in Grasonville
GRASONVILLE, Md. – The Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department and surrounding companies responded to boat fire at Safe Harbor Narrows Point Marina in Grasonville on Monday.
The Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department said a large column of smoke was visible for miles before emergency crews arrived on scene.
Once they arrived, responding agencies found a 60-foot boat heavily involved in fire.
Fire crews took nearly two hours to fully extinguish the burning remains of the vessel.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
