Wor-Wic goes to Scotland to study abroad
SALISBURY, Md. — Wor-Wic Community College is collaborating with Salisbury University on a study abroad program in Scotland.
The two-week program will include 10 students and two faculty members. Participants will take a communications course and a history course. It marks Wor-Wic’s first study abroad program, and school officials hope to expand opportunities in the future.
Applications are open, and an interest meeting is scheduled for next week.
Wor-Wic Community College Vice President for Academic Affairs Deirdre Johnson said, “It’s a great opportunity. We are moving beyond the three counties that we serve. We are taking our college to another level through global education and spreading all the programs that we have to offer at the college.”
Officials said the program not only broadens horizons but also provides a strong addition to a résumé.
