Maryland State Police investigating fatal motorcycle crash in Berlin

BERLIN, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Friday evening.

Police say around 6:20 p.m. they were called to the area of Routes 113 and 589 for a motorcycle that went off the road and into the center median, striking the guard rail.

Troopers, fire, and EMS personnel responded to the scene. When they arrived, they found the driver of the motorcycle dead. Both directions of Route 113 were closed for several hours while the scene was cleared.

Police are still investigating what caused the victim to veer off the roadway. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack.
