Hey there Delmarva!
I’m Hannah Cechini – Weekend Anchor and MMJ at 47ABC. I grew up in the small town of Flemington, New Jersey. Ever since I was in elementary school, I can remember wanting to do something in the news. I am a Suffolk University alumna (go Rams!), with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, and a minor in English. Before working at 47ABC, I was a writer at 7News – WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.
My journey here at WMDT started in March of 2020, after I dropped everything and moved here from Boston to start my television reporting career. I’m excited to connect with the people here and serve as a platform for people who feel their voices need to be heard. That’s what journalism is all about (in my opinion) – truthful and meaningful reporting, and being a voice for the people surrounding you.
When I’m not on the clock, I love to read, watch movies, and listen to podcasts. I also like getting outside and finding new places to explore. Most of all – I love to cook. I’m always trying out new recipes, or making it up as I go along.
