Crisfield community swears in their new police chief

CRISFIELD, Md.–The Crisfield Police Department held a swearing in ceremony for their new police chief.

The Crisfield community gathered at the Corbin library to welcome their new police chief, David Dalfonso.

City council, the mayor, officers, and others were there to meet the new chief.

Dalfonso said he excited to start working with the community and hearing first hand what’s important to them.

“I wanna get from the citizens that live here get their take on it, I want to see what’s important to them, so I’m going to spend some time learning that, but I’m really excited,” Dalfonso said.

Dalfonso said he will begin work Thursday.

He is replacing Michael Tabor who retired back in January.
