Families reveal favorite Christmas Eve traditions

SALISBURY, Md. – What do you do while you wait for Santa? Well, 47 ABC spoke with families who told shared some of their favorite Christmas Eve traditions. From baking Christmas cookies to singing some favorite Christmas carols, people say keeping these life long traditions alive is what makes the holidays so special. A favorite one we also learned was watching classic holiday movies like Home Alone and the Grinch. And while every family celebrates the holidays in their own way, it’s those traditions that keep that adds a little extra holiday magic.

“We just do the tradition and watch A Christmas Story and watch different old Christmas shows from the ’60s to the ’70s. My son loves The Grinch,” said Crystal Miller.

“We always have a Christmas tradition of doing Christmas Eve shopping, daddy-daughter day so it’s our last minute, fun time together,” said Carla Owens.

And of course, we want to hear what some of your favorite Christmas eve traditions are, so tell us on 47 ABC’s Facebook or Twitter page.
