Queen Anne's Volleyball Takes Down WiHi

Queen Anne's athletics have seen a lot of success this fall and another one of their teams took the court today looking to add to that success. The volleyball team played host to Wicomico High School - in which the winner would go on to play Kent Island.

The Parkside girls soccer team was recently crowned the Bayside Champions after beating Queen Anne's in the finals just last week, but the Lions took another shot at taking down the Rams in the 2A State Tournament. 

SU Field Hockey Tops CNU In CAC Semi's

The Salisbury University field hockey team topped Christopher Newport University in the CAC Semifinals Wednesday night 2-1 to advance to the tournament championship. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 13-3 on the year.

Parkside Girls Soccer Roll Kent Island To Open States

The Parkside girls soccer team topped Kent Island 5-0 Tuesday night in the state tournament behind 3 goals from Blair Vilov. With the win, the Rams advance to face Queen Anne's on November 5th at 6pm. 

Bennett boys Soccer Top Chesapeake, Advance In States

The Bennett boys soccer team advanced in the state tournament Tuesday night after gutting out a 3-2 overtime win against Chesapeake off a game winner from Will Cooledge. The Clippers advance and will now face Atholton.

The Streak Continues! Big 2nd Half Lifts Cape Field Hockey Past Delmar

The Cape Henlopen field hockey team remained undefeated on the season after pulling out a 4-1 road win at previously undefeated Delmar. The win improves the Vikings to 15-0, while the loss drops the Wildcats to 13-1-1. The win makes 69 straight wins overall for Cape, and 82 against in state opponents. 

Queen Anne's Sara Walford Scores The Game-Winner In Double-OT

The Queen Anne's County High School Lions and the Kent County Trojans took the field for a field hockey state tournament match up and this was a great game between even better teams.The game was back-and-forth between the two teams who had opportunities to score throughout the first half, however, both teams would be scoreless throughout the first half of play making it a 0-0 game at half time.The battle between the Lions and the Trojans continued throughout the second half as well resulting in a tie through regulation. However, in double overtime, Sara Walford put away the game-winner to help Queen Anne's advance to the regional championship game on Wednesday, where the Lions will face Pocomoke.

Carlie Domogauer Scores A Hat Trick In Kent Island Win

The Kent Island Buccaneers are coming off of several wins in the last week, but today's match up against Easton would help the Buccaneers advanced to the regional championship game with a win.Sophomore, Carlie Domogauer has done big things for this team all season long, but today, she showed up with even more to bring on the field. Domogauer put away the only goal in the first half to help the Bucs take a 1-0 lead going into halftime, but she was not done just yet and would add another two goals in the second half for a hat trick.The sophomore claims her goals today were just timing, but there is skill added to it when there is a hat trick in the picture - Domogauer's goals helped her team notch the 3-0 win over Easton.The Bucs advance to the regional championship match on Wednesday.
