The Capital Athletic Conference announced the 2016 Conference Awards Thursday, with several members of the Salisbury University and Wesley teams being honored. Headlining this years group, included SU's Margie Knight who was named the CAC Coach of the Year for the 14th time, while Molly Simpson was named the CAC Player of the Year and Brooke Mizelle was named the CAC Rookie of the Year.

The Warriors' Sydney Goertzen would score the game tying run in the 7th to force extras, where Logan Genga would smack the walk-off RBI single to right. The win improves the Warriors to 14-3 on the year, while the loss drops the Rams to 8-4.
The Parkside baseball team hit the road Monday afternoon and picked up a convincing 12-1 win over Mardela. The win improves the Rams to 10-5, while they loss drops the Warriors to 9-6.
The Salisbury University women's lacrosse overcame a very slow start to rally in the second half to earn a 8-7 win over York to advance to the CAC Championship game. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 15-2 on the year.
Sussex Tech hosted Worcester Prep and in a game where both teams were evenly matched, it was the Mallards who topped them 17-4.
