UPDATE: Missing Sussex Co. woman located

9/29 UPDATE: Police say Karen Lara has been located and is safe.

SUSSEX CO., Del. – Delaware State Police have issued a Gold Alert for a missing Sussex County woman.

We’re told 46-year-old Karen Lara was last seen on foot in the Selbyville area, and attempts to locate or contact her have been unsuccessful. She is 5’6″, 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Police say she was last seen wearing a key lime green dress and a shawl with a hood.

She is not believed to be driving a vehicle and may currently be in the Bethany Beach area.
