Two arrested on drug charges at Capital Inn in Dover

Two men were arrested on Wednesday morning, after Police say there were drugs found in their hotel room.

Dover Police Department says on Wednesday just after 10:00 AM, their Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit arrived at the Capital Inn on North DuPont Highway. Investigators were reportedly there to execute a search warrant on room 234. Once inside, Police say they arrested 54-year-old Pedro Santiago, and 37-year-old Luis Santos.

During the search, Police say they found 8.5 grams of heroin, 68 methadone pills, 3 amphetamine pills, and hypodermic needles, along with drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin distribution.

Santiago was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a tier 5 quantity of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance without Rx. He is currently being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $32,000 bond.

Santos was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, along with two Superior Court capias and a Justice of the Peace capias. He was also turned over to the JTVCC on a $9,950 bond.
