Picking out the perfect Halloween costume

Halloween is just nine days away which means it’s almost that time to break out the old witch costume, or go shopping for something brand new to wear.
47 ABC’s Michelle Mackonochie visited Spirit Halloween in Salisbury in search for the perfect costume. First up, she put on a 1980’s classic, Tom Cruise from Top Gun. But if you’re not feeling Top Gun, you can go with the exact opposite. A classic fairy tale princess, Cinderella.
Or maybe, you want to travel back in time, way back in time. Going dressed as Cleopatra is always a big hit.
Or if you’re feeling super heroic you can opt for a classic like Wonder Woman. But you won’t see Junior Perez dolled up as Wonder Woman. The Seaford resident has something gory in mind.
Perez tells 47 ABC, “I like zombies. Any particular show that inspires the zombies? The Walking dead. The walking dead? Yeah, definitely. Any kind of costume I can come up with, anything nice, really scary I guess.”
But Brian Demmler will have to dig deep. He’s gone to the well of costume creativity a lot over the years.
Demmler tells 47 ABC, “I’ve gone through them all I mean since I was a little kid I was big on Halloween and I always had very elaborate costumes yeah I’ve pretty much run out of ideas.”
But Demmler is not letting it get him down. He says, “I just love Halloween it’s the all time greatest holiday so I love hitting all the stores and seeing what’s going on.”
Staff at Spirit Halloween say the most popular costumes flying off shelves are characters from the video game Assassins creed and Wonder Woman.
