Maryland reporting zero COVID-19 deaths for second day in a row
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For the second day in a row, the State of Maryland is reporting zero COVID-19 deaths.
The state is reporting 40 new confirmed cases as of this morning, making it the second day in a row with less than 50 new cases. In addition, the state’s 7-day COVID-19 positivity rate has hit a new record low of 0.66%, down 89% since mid-April.
Maryland’s COVID-19 case rate has also dropped to 1.07 per 100,000, down 95% since mid-April. 11 counties in the state are in the green zone, with a case rate under 1 per 100,000.
There are currently 153 COVID-19 patients hospitalized statewide.
