Easton man arrested for rape, sex abuse of a minor
EASTON, Md. – Police say they have arrested an Easton man following an extensive investigation into a rape that took place in the Tilghman Island area back in 2009.
According to police, investigation revealed that the victim was living with the suspect, 30-year-old Kevin Manning, at a residence in Tilghman in 2009. While living there, police say Manning initiated sexual encounters with the victim without her consent, and sexually assaulted her on several occasions.
On Tuesday, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Manning, and located him in the 500 block of August Street. He was taken into custody without incident on second degree rape, second degree sex offense, sexual abuse of a minor, and other related charges. Manning is an active Tier I registered sex offender, registered with the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office.
Manning was held without bond.
