Fire damages Cambridge Bed and Breakfast

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Fire officials say an electrical issue is to blame for a Bed and Breakfast fire in Cambridge over the weekend.

We’re told the fire broke out at around 1:40 a.m. Sunday, at 102 Killarney Road. 40 firefighters with the Rescue Fire Company responded to the blaze, which was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes.

Maryland Fire Marshals were called to investigate the fire. It was determined that the fire was the result of an unspecified electrical event at the home’s service drop. Total fire damage has been estimated at $25,000. Two occupants are being assisted by the American Red Cross, while a third occupant is being assisted by family.
