Troopers Investigate WSFS Robbery

Police are asking for information as they investigate the robbery of a WSFS Bank in Rehoboth Beach Monday Afternoon.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred about 1:55 p.m. as a male suspect entered the WSFS Bank located at 19335 Coastal Highway. The suspect then approached a female teller and provided her with a demand note for cash. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then exited the bank and fled in an unknown direction. The teller was not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male 25-30 years of age, 5’07”-5’08” tall, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a tan coat and blue jeans. No weapon was reportedly displayed.

The incident remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
