Seahawks Win 11th Straight, Roll Mardela

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team picked up a conference win Thursday night when they rolled past Mardela 76-40. The win improves the Seahawks to 16-1, while the loss drops the Warriors to 1-17.

The Seahawks would jump out to a quick lead in the game as Torrey Brittingham was scoring at will. Once he found his rhythm, he was able to get a few more of the pieces around him involved, including Keve Aluma. The Warriors would remain in striking distance the first half as Tyler McCoy had his shooting stroke. He finished with a game high 24 points as the Seahawks would be up 53-29. Decatur would then own the 3rd quarter, not allowing a point from Mardela while Aluma scored time and time again in the post. The Seahawks would be up 36 headed to the 4th, and roll to the win.

Decatur returns to work on Tuesday when they host Kent County, while Mardela host Colonel on Tuesday.
