Super Tuesday wraps up with big wins

Polling precincts have seen voters come and go as states caucus and vote in primaries on Super Tuesday, including Virginia.

Participating states included Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia which held primaries for both parties.

Alaska hosted only a Republican primary, while American Samoa only hosted a Democratic one.

As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, Hillary Clinton picked up six wins: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.

Meanwhile in the GOP primary, Donald Trump also won states of 11 p.m.: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Virginia and Tennessee.

Both Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders has leads in Oklahoma, but they also reportedly won the primaries in their home states of Texas and Vermont for their respective parties.

Sanders also had a roughly 6% lead over Clinton in the Colorado caucus.

As of 11 p.m., Marco Rubio had one win in the GOP primary for Minnesota. Sanders picked up the win for the Democratic primary with 59% of the vote.

Polls for the Alaska primary are expected to close at 12 a.m.
