IR and Woodbridge settle in a draw – Boys Soccer

DAGSBORO, Del. – Both Indian River and Woodbridge have been cruising, getting ready for big playoff pushes.

Coming into the game, the Woodbridge Blue Raiders (9-2-1) were looking to win 5 in a row. IR coming in (6-4-2) has been very steady and feisty with teams in the first state.

We begin early in the game, bounce off the deflection, and it finds Diego Rios-Cruz, and he closes the deal. Great goal for IR, right before the intermission!

A great way to go up against a Blue Raiders team that has been consistent all year long.

But the Blue Raiders are resilient, and they get this beautiful goal. Jennry Santos-Gonzales with a strike over the head of the IR goalie and Woodbridge tie the game before halftime.

Both teams came out of the break aggressive, looking to break the equalizer. The game ends in a tie, but both teams with a chance to go into overtime.

The first and second overtime brought the same struggles. Great defense smothering offensive opportunities, and neither team could break through.

The game ends in a draw 1-1.
