Vacant house fire under investigation in Queen Anne’s Co.
GRASONVILLE, Md. – Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating a fire that heavily damaged a Queen Anne’s County home Monday night.
We’re told the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze shortly before 11:30 p.m., at a vacant home in the 600 block of Winchester Creek Road. Approximately 40 firefighters were able to place the fire under control in about 45 minutes.
Officials say the home has been vacant for an extended period of time. Total damage was estimated at $85,000.
