Man arrested for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver in Dover

Police say that a man was arrested for robbing a pizza delivery employee on Wednesday afternoon in Dover.

According to the Dover Police Department, 18-year-old Jamal Jones was arrested following the robbery of a pizza delivery employee.

Officers were called by the victim at 1:53 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon who said that Jones allegedly robbed him of an unknown amount of cash.

The victim told officers that Jones ran into a home on East Water Street. Officers quickly surrounded the home and were able to successfully take Jones into custody inside of the home.

Jones was committed to J.T.V.C.C in default of $50,500 cash bond on first degree robbery and resisting arrest charges.

According to Dover Police's website, Jones has previously been accused in a double shooting, a gun arrest and another robbery.
