Sussex Central Boys Soccer Stay Perfect, Down Seaford

The Sussex Central boys soccer team stayed perfect on the year after rolling to a 4-0 win at Seaford on Monday night. The win improves the Golden Knights to 4-0, while the loss drops the Blue Jays to 2-3.

The Golden Knights would jump out to a quick lead in the first half after Yunior Cruz would take a pass from Christian Castillo and put it home just 15 minutes into the match. Shortly after that, the lead would stretch to 2-0 after Dalendy Dupervil would finish off a pass from Johnny Garcia. The Blue Jays defense would settle in from there after keeper Evan Nibblett would come up with a couple great diving saves. It would take a while in the second half before Sussex Central was finally able to find the back of the net again after Breinor Escalante Velasquez would take a deep ball, out run the back line and score on a shot to the far post. Then with under 10 minutes to play, the Golden Knights would put the game away after Dupervil would finish off a rebound inside the box.

Sussex Central returns to action on Tuesday when they host Lake Forest, while Seaford travels to Sussex Tech on Tuesday.
